Poetry Readings and Book Launch Dates

Poetry readings, book launches, spoken word nights, writing workshops and literary festivals. Each listing is put up by the writer, bookshop or festival running it, with the date, the place, who is appearing and a link to wherever the details live. No account is needed to look.

Literary events are small and late-announced. A reading gets fixed three weeks out, a launch moves when the printer slips, and a slam has a lineup that is not final until the night. Listings carry a poster image where there is one, video from a previous edition, and audio, which for a spoken word night tells you more than a description.

A reading fills by being passed on. That is what an account is for here: send a listing to the three people who would actually turn up, and follow the event so a change of date reaches you. Looking needs none of it. Entry, where there is any, is the organiser's business on their own page.

Anyone running something can post it: a bookshop with a back room, a magazine doing a launch, a writer who has hired a hall for one night. Workshops go up the same way, with the organiser's own contact on the listing, because a writing group of eight fills by email and always has.
